Dr. Joiselle Smith is the CEO Pathways to Creative Industries, an organization focused on scaling impact in creative industries.
Pathways to Creative Industries works with the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America), The United Way, The James and Judith K. Dimon Family Foundation, global fashion companies to create social impact and healing for communities. Joiselle also leads efforts in humanitarian and social impact at JoeyHarrisInc (current and previous partnerships include Janet Jackson, Dyllón Burnside and others). Joiselle is Vice President of the Alumnae-i Network for Harvard Women.
Joiselle served in the Obama Administration in the Office of the Secretary at the United States Department of Education (the Department) and managed educator engagement for the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans. She was named one of top women leading in education and social impact by the University of Southern California and has won other awards for her work in social impact efforts across the globe.
Joiselle studied Public Policy and Economics at Duke University, where she received the Reginaldo Howard Memorial Scholarship for academic achievement. She earned her doctorate from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.
